Holiday Happenings

As in years past, the 2022 holiday season was celebrated widely throughout the neighborhood. In addition to the usual traditions, last year was the first time our neighborhood was on the popular Tour de Lights route. This event is a fun, free, family friendly bike ride where participants dress themselves and their bikes in holiday attire and lights. This year’s event claimed to see more than 1,000 participants who were greeted by the encouragement of neighbors cheering them on from their porches and yards.

Christmas Tree

The traditional events were also a success! It was great to see neighbors gathered during the Christmas Party, which is always a wonderful time to catch up with each other and meet newer neighbors that we haven’t had a chance to meet. December also saw a lively gathering of families to decorate and light the children’s Christmas tree at the park, a festive group caroling down the boulevard and ending the evening with a gathering at the Baldwin’s home, and the annual cookie swap. We can’t thank these families enough for opening their homes to the neighborhood, and allowing us to get our holiday season off to festive start. The Memorial Wreath Fund was also a success! Many thanks are owed to all that helped with the production and delivery of the Memorial Wreath Booklets so that every home can have a lovely keepsake with names of those being honored and remembered.
