Let’s Start Your Engine!
Help the Island Home Park Neighborhood Association raise $15,000 to place a historic locomotive at the Island Home Avenue pocket park on the SoKno Rail Trail and Art Walk! The locomotive will sport a new, colorful mural and serve as an iconic landmark on the SoKno Art Walk. It will be placed at the midpoint of the trail at Island Home Avenue in a new pocket park.
The mural will be painted by Pat Perry, known for his large-scale public murals that combine surrealist, whimsical elements with themes of human connection and social justice.
You can donate to the SoKno Rail Trail and Art Walk at this link. Select “Island Home Park Neighborhood Association” under Optional Designations to designate your donation for the locomotive project.
You may also mail a check to Legacy Parks Foundation at 900 Volunteer Landing Lane, Knoxville, TN 37915. Please write “Island Home Park Neighborhood Association” in the memo.
